Living a greener lifestyle is a constant work in progress.  We are always learning, always evolving, and always striving to make small steps towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

Most changes can’t be made overnight, but every little bit helps.

Reduce Your Waste
‘Reduce, reuse, recycle’.   It starts with the choices we make and the products we buy.  If we reduce the waste that comes into our homes, it will be easier to reuse (repair / fix / re-purpose) what we have and recycle (or compost) the remainder.

Grow!
It doesn’t matter if it is just one pot of basil, gardening is good for the soul.  Growing food can encourage us to try new things and carefully consider the food we put on the table.

Eat Well
Food nourishes our bodies.  Making good food choices will help us be the healthiest versions of ourselves possible.

Live with Kindness
Sharing kindness with others helps us all.  Children look up to us to set an example; lets show them how to lend a helping hand, lift a peer up, and spread love.

Choose Products Wisely
There are many choices we can make when it comes to products we use on our bodies and around the home.  There are many simpler, less expensive options available, from cleaning products to moisturizer.

Embrace Sustainable Tourism
Did you know that 60% of leisure travelers have taken at least one sustainable trip in the last three years? Do you know that sustainable travelers spend, on average, 51% more per trip?  St Maarten / Sint Martin has an opportunity to fill a niche market in this growing tourism sector. NOW is the time to act!

Support Local Production and Entrepreneurship
Tourism accounts for about 80% of our economy.  However, there is a small but dedicated group of artisans and entrepreneurs who are slowly changing this.  Do you make something in St Maarten or Sint Martin?  Get in touch!  We would love to feature you on our Made In SXM page.
