Kids

Visiting St Maarten / Sint Martin with kids can be a rewarding experience.  Sometimes the little ones force us to slow down and enjoy the simple joys of building a sandcastle, watching a fluttering butterfly, or observing a found object.

Don’t try to pack too much into your vacation – the best days are often the simplest, spent with toes in the sand.  On different beaches you can find perfect picnic spots & world class restaurants, tranquil waters & fun waves, collections of sea-glass and shells, interesting wildlife & plenty of activities.  Active older kids will enjoy the plethora of tours organized by Tri Sport which include hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and a unique adventure race through Philipsburg.  There are also options for days when you want a little less sun, like hiking in the shade of the mango trees at Loterie Farm and art classes.

The island has recently gone through an unscheduled rebirth in the form of hurricane Irma in September 2017.  While she caused untold destruction, nature came back first and with great abundance, and the island is slowly catching up.  All business, foundations, and activities featured here are currently active and many are working hard towards a sustainable future with eco-conscious tourism at its core.
